This property is absolutely amazing. So well appointed and just minutes from the beach. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook wonderful meals and all the bedrooms are beautifully decorated. The pool was such a blessing for being there in July with 7 kids! The owners communicated very well and answered all our questions regarding this island as it was our first time. We can’t wait to visit here again.

Cinco De Mayo at North Captiva Island Club was an amazing peaceful get away!

We stayed at Cinco De Mayo July 28- August 4, 2018. My husband and I, 25 year old niece and two 15 year old boys. There was more than enough space. I enjoyed sun rises and sun sets on the roof top level and the well equipped kitchen. My husband enjoyed the grill and hiking trail. All the adults loved the close proximity to the mangos pool bar. Ice cream at mangos store was also a hit! Everyone enjoyed the house pool especially the 15 year old boys! The red tide obviously was a big let down but we all did our best to find other things to do to relax aside from the ocean/beach for the few unsafe Red Tide days. Plenty to do. Dinner at Barnacles, NCIC pools, exploring the island, charter fishing, shopping at Barnacle Phil’s store, make popcorn and watch a movie as a family, there were still ways to enjoy our time out of the ocean water.
More about the house, beds very comfy, house is very clean, plenty of dish and laundry soap, WiFi and satellite tv worked well, golf cart worked great, pool was clean, games outdoors were a plus also, tons of cookware and bbq utensils, herbs for cooking. Everything in house worked. When coffee pot had a crack in the glass, NCIC replaced with a new one within the hour.
Sarah Rapp is very kind to work with when you have 101 questions about anything and everything. We contacted her with questions about the contract, grocery delivery, ferry reservations, (make them as early as possible or they will be full) where to locate items in the house etc. The Rapps were always available and accommodating. We feel like we really lucked out finding Cinco De Mayo and The Rapps! They made the whole experience easy for us.
Our recommendations to first timers like us: Choose this house, pack 1 more bottle of sunscreen than you anticipate needing, bug spray is a must near the beach especially at dusk or after a rain, Try a “On the Water” drink at Mangos bar, Charters through Boats and Fun, Dinner at Barnacle Phil’s (no reservations were needed), handmade gifts at Barnacle’s store, get up early at least once for roof top sunrise and always find the sunset, especially on the beach. Above all enjoy the slower pace of island life. No traffic jams, busy store lines, hustle and bustle of daily life. Just you and your loved ones in a beautiful home on and gorgeous island.
Only Complaint, we may never enjoy a beach town other than this one again :-)
