You have come this far to enjoy paradise, so please don’t let the hassle of groceries stand between you and vacation! To make the most of your island vacation, we recommend grocery delivery prior to your arrival. We have explored many options to maximize your value and efficiency, and recommend the following.
Shipt – create account, it will be handy during your stay and may even be useful in your day to day life after vacation! This will provide you a personal shopper at a multitude of stores in the area. Submit your grocery list and select for delivery the day of your arrival. We recommend choosing the earliest time available to ensure the groceries are delivered prior to your arrival.
- Download Shipt App and create an account.
- Enter the address of the Island Club, and include your home name and club member number.

- Place your order and select a time for the morning of your arrival.
- When your order is “accepted” from Shipt they will assign you a personal shopper to ensure all choices are satisfactory. Please be aware that this shopper will want to text with you for clarity, so if you will be traveling and away from your phone, make notes for substitutions and preferences in advance or you may be disappointed.
- Notify our team (rentals@northcaptiva.com) when your shopper is “on the way” with delivery.
- Fees for transporting the groceries: Standard shipping on ferry is $10/bin – we can ft a lot of groceries in one bin and will be very conservative in utilization. Our housekeeping and property management team will take the time to stock your home including cold items for a $50 flat fee.
- During your stay, Shipt can continue to support your grocery or drug store needs and you can have the goods sent out on the ferry and meet the ferry to retrieve or ask the guest services team for assistance.
- Please note we will get the groceries out on the next ferry. This can mean 10 minutes or 2 hours – so it is best to ask your shopper to have your perishable items “cold packed” or purchase the reusable cooler bags to preserve the integrity of your goods. We will keep them protected the best we can, but do not have fridge space at our loading space to keep all groceries in a fridge during the transit process.
